What is the most exciting thing about working in this business? What is your professional passion?

My background is not in construction, but I have always had a passion and interest for designing and building – the end to end process as much as the aesthetics. I love not only how tangible this industry is, but also the impact and influence it has on organizations, cultures, cities and communities.

My professional passion is helping organizations operate at their best in order to evolve, and doing this with a talented team! I believe in People and Culture teams being strategic partners to help develop leaders, cultures and employees while playing an active role in driving business performance. Whether through programs, organizational design work or data-driven decision making, we have the opportunity to make a real impact!

What do you love to do when you aren’t at work? What is your personal passion and why?

I’m a proud mom of three daughters and the wife to the best “Girl Dad” I know. Family is at the center of most of my time outside of work, whether it is watching two of my daughters play hockey, taking our two golden retrievers to the beach for a run, or hosting family gatherings.

What book has helped you most in your career?

Too many to choose from! One is The New Professional, which was the first book I was given in my career by my first boss. Most recently, a book called Strength to Strength.

If you could have lunch with someone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

My Grandma O’Brien! She passed away at 99 years old and was an instrumental influence on me. We used to talk every Friday and occasionally after a Notre Dame football game (my father and grandfather are alums) or to debrief the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars. She taught me about the importance of family, the art of hosting gatherings, to always show your Irish pride and to not let other people limit you in any way.
