Located in Cambridge’s flourishing Kendall Square, 585 Kendall is the newest life sciences building to be added to the neighborhood.
The 16-story building is set to include life sciences research space, offices, and a public arts and culture space across the three bottom floors. Additional scope details include 10,000 square feet of flexible all-season space on the ground floor.
Within the 585 Kendall base building, Suffolk is also completing two fit-outs for Takeda Pharmaceuticals and 585 Arts. The fit-out for Takeda will be designed to support innovation, collaboration, and cutting-edge technology. Sustainability features will be aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Climate Agreement, and the Science-Based Targets initiative.
The fit-out for 585 Arts consists of a 7,500 square foot, 404-seat theater for Global Arts Live, a non-profit organization that brings the best international music, dance and jazz from around the world to stages across Boston. The theater has its own dedicated mechanical systems, as well as two floors of public lobby and restroom areas with a concessions stand, and back of house spaces including a large rehearsal room, dressing rooms, and administrative offices.
