Suffolk completed construction of this 22,000 square foot, two-story Social Hall building on an existing church campus.
The project included the demolition of the existing parking lot to make way for the new building and associated site work. Sitework consists of a new parking lot with pervious pavement, retaining walls, retention basins, wet and dry site utilities, landscape, and hardscape.
The Social Hall, constructed out of wood framing, stucco siding, and a standing seam metal roof, is designed to hold 476 parishioners. The interior contains a multi-purpose room, multiple conference rooms, a full-service kitchen, restrooms, offices, a spiral staircase with custom-etched glass, and an elevator. Finishes include hanging perforated panels in the Multi-Purpose room, acoustic ceiling, ceramic tile, carpet, paint, and integral colored concrete.
Suffolk-Roel also completed four months of preconstruction including various rounds of budgets, value engineering, scheduling impact review, and a constructability report.
