The Plumosa School of the Arts is a K-5 school that features programs inclusive of visual, performing and communication arts like dance, graphic design, multimedia, music and theatre. The expansion consists of a new, two-story, 40,000 square-foot classroom building that adds approximately 636 student stations and features grades 6th through 8th.

During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Suffolk hosted a series of virtual outreach sessions for the Plumosa School of the Arts expansion. The efforts included a matchmaker event where small local businesses were paired with prime firms to expand the reach of the project further into the community. As a result of the efforts, the project has exceeded the small business enterprise goals.
