At Suffolk, we know we’re Safer Together
Looking out for each other
Our top priority: that everyone goes home safe
At Suffolk, our commitment to safety is the most significant way we live our core value of caring. The foundation of our Safer Together program is encouraging every team member and trade partner to form strong relationships, emphasize people and teamwork over processes and checklists, and look out for each other at our jobsites and offices.
We’re harnessing data and tech to create safer jobsites
By leveraging data, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, we’re proactively identifying where risk exists on projects and how we can eliminate it. This approach makes a difference where it matters: our Total Recordable Incident Rate has decreased by 50 percent over the last two years.
How we recognize and address the impact of mental health
We work in an industry where rates of mental health crises, addiction, and suicide are much higher than the national average. To help combat this epidemic, we provide first aid classes; resources for mental health, suicide prevention and substance abuse; and naloxone rescue kits and training.
Celebrating our teams and their commitment to safety
Excellence in safety
Since 2021, we’ve recognized exceptional jobsite safety with our Safest Project Award, which honors the project team that exemplifies our safety culture and has gone above and beyond to establish and maintain a safe jobsite.
Valuing the voices of our trade partners
Excellence in safety
Our relationships with trade partners are integral to our safety culture. To acknowledge their critical role and celebrate their hard work, we recognize outstanding trade partners in each region with the Safest Trade Partner Award.
