The things I find most exciting in this business are the lifelong relationships and tangible fixtures of our communities that we get to build. My professional passion is building relationships with everyone who impacts our work, from the person cleaning the site to the visionaries who develop and design our communities.

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my wife and our two young daughters. Seeing them grow and try new things inspires me daily.

My wife and I have had the privilege of serving on the board and committees of the Safe Crossings Foundation, which supports children who have lost a parent or sibling before the age of 18. The organization works to ensure those children know they aren’t alone and have the best opportunity for a “normal” childhood. Safe Crossings, the organizations that it funds, and similar organizations have a dramatic impact on a larger percentage of children in our communities than people might think.

I played football in high school and ran track in both high school and college. These sports taught me leadership, time management, humility, teamwork, and — most of all — that hard work and learning from failures lead to the greatest successes.

I know it sounds cliché, but I admire my mom’s amazing work ethic, humility, loyalty, and empathy. She embodied all those qualities in the way she took care of our family and pursued an amazing career. She taught me core values that I live by every day, and she has been a huge influence on my life.
