We are fortunate to have so much opportunity to impact people positively with our work at Suffolk. Obviously, building strong and sustainable buildings is an important part of our legacy. More importantly, we favorably impact people, families and communities with our work, our projects and our charitable efforts. It’s an exciting place to be every day and our opportunities to contribute will grow as we continue to grow around the United States.

My wife and I have four kids, ages 19 to 12. Coaching and supporting them in their academics, sports and whatever other pursuits they are passionate about is very important to us. Coaching football, lacrosse and basketball over the years has allowed me to become part of something that my kids care about deeply, share in their wins and losses, and help them grow as people and leaders. It’s a connection that lasts and creates important shared memories for my whole family.

I actively try to support veteran organizations. The military was one of the most rewarding, valuable and formative parts of my life for many reasons. Our country needs to do more for our vets, especially our returning combat vets. I am working to do my part and so is Suffolk. We have a responsibility to support this group of men and women who are willing to risk and sacrifice everything for their country.

Our CoLabs are changing the way we think about technology and how it applies to everything we do, whether it be functional areas like People & Culture or how we build our projects. I have been so impressed by our Innovation Team and its commitment to helping us change our mindset to employ all the technology tools available to us. The CoLab is a place that captures many of those tools and puts them on display, but also teaches us how to use them in our daily work. Our CoLabs will be fluid and constantly changing to push us and show us what we are capable of achieving with new technologies, including innovations like artificial intelligence. Suffolk will be at the forefront.

My first commanding officer when I was on active duty in the Navy taught me many things. Most importantly, he demonstrated with his actions that nothing is more important than integrity in everything we do as people and professionals.
