Jeff Immelt served as chairman & CEO of GE for 16 years, where he revamped the company’s strategy, global footprint, and culture. Today, GE industrial assets are valued at more than $800 billion, the largest in the world.

In 2018, Immelt joined NEA as a venture partner, working with more than 30 growth companies across multiple industries. He also teaches at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a course called “Systems Leadership,” focused on guiding companies through volatility and disruption. Immelt founded a training course called “Performance Acceleration Journey,” which develops senior leaders at small and medium-sized companies. He has mentored a multitude of leaders who now serve in the C-Suite in every industry and region.

Immelt has been named one of the “World’s Best CEOs” three times by Barron’s. During his tenure as CEO, GE was named “America’s Most Admired Company” by Fortune and one of “The World’s Most Respected Companies” in polls by Barron’s and the Financial Times. He has received 15 honorary degrees and numerous awards for business leadership and chaired the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness under the Obama administration.

Immelt earned a B.A. in applied mathematics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He is active in his church and rebuilding his public high school in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been married to Andrea for 40 years and has one daughter and two grandsons.
