The exciting thing about working in the construction industry is seeing ideas turn into something real – starting with drawings and plans, and over time those lines become buildings, roads, or structures that people use every day. There’s a strong sense of pride in driving past a finished project and knowing you helped create it. No two projects or days are ever the same, so you’re constantly learning, solving problems, and working as part of a team to overcome challenges. Preconstruction is where you can ask the right questions, get everyone aligned, and make smart calls while changes are still easy. I really enjoy taking something that feels unclear and turning it into a solid plan.
