Collaborative design/assist approach

The Bristol

Suffolk implemented a design/assist process with concrete, glass, piles, cabinetry, MEP, and elevator trade partners to proactively identify and address challenges that could have resulted in RFIs. A working session was held with the owner’s team, architect, engineers, design/assist trade partners, and Suffolk, where stakeholders first outlined the ‘conditions of satisfaction’ they believed would ensure project success. Complex scope items were then discussed, and valuable feedback was collected from trade partners. This process was particularly critical for the unique glass and glazing elements of the project.
