Southwest Florida International Airport RSW - Terminal E Phase II

Phase II included a new ticketing lobby, baggage claim area and baggage handling system with checked baggage inspection and reconciliation facilities. The terminal extension added Concourse E with 14 operational gates and infrastructure for 19, a new TSA checkpoint, expanded retail and concessions, airside improvements and chiller plant upgrades. Work also included aircraft fuel distribution at all gates, taxiway reconstruction and relocation of two Terminal D gates to enable construction. New roadways and pedestrian bridges enhanced the arrivals and departures experience. Suffolk prioritized uninterrupted operations throughout construction at the active RSW airport.
