America’s first five-star urban gaming resort

Encore Boston Harbor

Suffolk managed the preconstruction and construction services for the Encore Boston Harbor, a 1.7 million square foot luxury resort including a 27-floor, 671-room hotel, gaming area, spa and fitness center, retail space, thirteen gourmet and casual restaurants, 50,000-square-feet of meeting and event spaces, and 1.5 million square foot subterranean parking structure.

A brightly lit casino floor filled with rows of colorful slot machines, red chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and patterned carpet throughout the space. No people are visible.

Constructing waterfront luxury

Encore Boston Harbor

The resort also features a four-season Harborwalk that links to existing paths around Boston Harbor and opens a new stretch of shoreline to the public for the first time in more than a century. In addition to the Harborwalk, Encore Boston Harbor further leverages its waterfront location by accommodating water shuttles, water taxis, and private boats at its dock. The project is located on a 33.9-acre site along the Mystic River, which had been contaminated from over a century of industrial use.
