Modernizing a global, student-centered campus
Lowell High School
This multi-phase renovation and expansion project transforms an active academic campus to better serve a diverse student body representing more than 50 countries worldwide. The scope includes a new gymnasium, a five-story Freshman Academy, renovations to the existing 1922 and 1980 buildings, and replacement of enclosed pedestrian bridges to improve connectivity across campus.
Building safely in an active community
Lowell High School
The project is defined by complex phasing, limited laydown space, and the challenge of construction on an occupied campus. Suffolk carefully addressed nearby sensitivities such as the historic trolley route and the Merrimack Canal through proactive planning, clear communication, and close coordination with neighbors and the City, with safety and strong community relationships as top priorities throughout construction.
